About Math Coach Tutoring
Math Coach Tutoring is dedicated to providing exceptional online math education for 1st to 5th-grade students. Our personalized 1:1 courses taught by a certified math teacher with 10+ years of experience, use of initial placement assessments, and tailored learning plans for long term students and detailed parent registration surveys for short term students ensure that each child receives the individual attention they need to excel in math. Whether they need intervention because they are a struggling learner or they need enrichment because they are a gifted learner, we have what you need! We believe in the power of parental involvement and progress monitoring to create a supportive learning environment. You will be included every step of your child's learning journey! Lesson Options:
Our curriculum is designed to cover all fundamental core math concepts for all US States in a comprehensive manner, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles ensuring future academic success taught by a certified teacher and not a robot. Lessons and strategies are adapted to the needs of each student. Recurring long term students will be given an adaptive assessment to test current skills and a personalized learning plan will be created based on their results. Progress monitoring will continue throughout the time your child is learning with us. We only give assessments to long term students. We also specialize in Texas Math STAAR test prep 3rd-5th as well.
Personalized Targeted Skill Sessions:
Our personalized one-on-one targeted skill lessons are priced at an affordable rate of $45/class, ensuring that your child receives focused attention and guidance tailored to their specific learning needs. These lessons are designed to target specific skills needing improvement. These lessons can also help with homework or class assignments from school that needs more explanation. These lessons can also be adapted for gifted learners as well by providing a more rigorous learning plan for those needing a challenge to prepare them for AP courses later.
Grade Levels
Structured Grade Level Sessions:
1st - 5th Grade
In addition to personalized lessons, we also offer structured grade level sessions at the same rate of $45/class, using the default learning plan for your child's grade level, covering all core topics within the entire grade level from beginning to end. This summer boost course is great as a refresher to prevent summer regression, whether your child is a struggling learner or needing to prep for the next grade level. We work on a skill for however long or short of time needed based on child's needs. We can also move ahead to the next level, for advanced students who would like a head start on the next grade and need the challenge. We are experienced with GT students as well as those with learning disabilities.

This class will be an introduction, tour of google classroom and any questions on how to create your child's account to access the class, and Q&A session to get any answers not found on the website. This meeting will be held via Google Meets which is like Zoom and any email can access it.
How Classes Are Conducted
Please be aware I use Google Classroom (that schools use) as my Learning Management System to teach and post homework/communicate from, which is free, but since I am just a tutoring company, I do not have access to the software to create individual accounts for my students like schools do. Because of this, parents will need to create a safe child Gmail email account with parental controls through familylink in order to log into the classroom. This is very simple to do and I use a teaching platform that hasn't been hacked or compromised in past years. This child Gmail will be connected to your personal Gmail using familylink and you have parental controls through that. If you as the parent do not have a Google Gmail email account, it's free and easy to create one for this purpose. Below, for your convenience, is an instructional video on how to create the child Gmail email account, after you have your parent Gmail created, by going to families.google/familylink and another video on how to navigate to Google Classroom after you have signed in with the child's email account in the upper right corner of your Google browser, join my class by clicking join a class in the middle of the screen and typing in the class code I will provide in a welcome email after you sign up for your first class, and navigate your way around the classroom. Again, this is at no extra cost to you.
